Premier Sports Campus is a 140-acre dedicated soccer complex in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, 18 minutes inland from the Gulf Coast beaches and 12 minutes from downtown Sarasota. The complex sits in the heart of one of the largest master-planned communities in the country, surrounded by hotels, restaurants, and grocery stores within a 5-minute drive. Twenty-three professional-grade fields plus a stadium, hosting ECNL national showcase events, the Florida Cup state championship finals, the Premier SuperCopa invitational, the Florida Winter Cup, and a long list of club showcases through the year.
What sets Premier apart from Florida’s other major soccer destinations is the Gulf Coast vacation context. Disney soccer requires a $700 park investment to feel like a vacation. Premier weekends include a free 25-minute drive to Siesta Key Beach, ranked the best beach in the country multiple times by Dr. Beach.
How the Fields Are Set Up
Twenty-three full-size soccer fields, mix of natural Bermuda grass and synthetic turf. All fields are FIFA-standard dimensions, marked for 11v11 with portable goals for 9v9 brackets. Most matches play on grass; the turf fields serve as the rain backup and the busiest tournament’s overflow.
The complex is sustainably designed with reclaimed-water irrigation and native landscaping. Sideline benches have some shade from purpose-planted trees, though the shade is not extensive enough for a full-day weekend tournament. Pop-up tents are still recommended.
Field assignments at Premier are usually clustered, meaning your team’s three weekend matches play on adjacent fields rather than scattered across the 23-field property. This is more thoughtful than at most large complexes and saves families significant walking time.
Reading the Layout
The fields are numbered 1 through 22 plus the stadium. Headquarters tent and registration sit near the central parking lot off Post Boulevard. The walk from the far north field to the far south field is about 12 minutes. Most teams stay clustered in 2 to 4 adjacent fields for the weekend.
The official Premier Sports Campus field map shows the numbered layout and parking access points. Worth saving offline before your first tournament weekend.
The Annual Soccer Calendar
The major 2026 soccer events at Premier:
- ECNL Florida Boys Showcase (January 3 to 5, 2026). The winter recruiting weekend for ECNL boys clubs.
- Florida Extreme Cup events through the spring.
- Florida Cup finals (May 9 to 10, 2026). State-level championship culmination for U9-U18/19.
- Premier SuperCopa and SuperCopa+ (multi-year exclusive deal 2026, 2028, 2030). Invitation-only elite U9-U17 events across multiple weekends.
- Florida Winter Cup (December 11 to 13, 2026).
- Various ECNL Regional League weekends through fall and spring.
Most tournaments are 3-game showcase format with no knockouts (college-recruiting events) or 3-to-4-game pool play with bracket finals (state cup and invitational formats).
Multi-Sport Context
Premier hosts some lacrosse events on the same fields rotation but is primarily soccer. The complex does not have indoor courts or baseball diamonds. When the weekend is a major Premier event, the surrounding Lakewood Ranch hotel inventory tightens, but you do not have to worry about multi-sport overlap the way you do at LakePoint or ESPN Wide World of Sports.
