Address, official field map, and turn-by-turn directions.
The National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota is the largest amateur sports facility in the world by field count. 250 acres, 55 outdoor soccer fields, plus the Schwan Super Rink (the world’s largest ice arena), an indoor sports hall, and golf course. It sits 20 minutes north of downtown Minneapolis and serves as the home of the USA Cup, the largest youth soccer tournament in the Western Hemisphere.
The USA Cup alone defines this venue. The event runs every July with around 1,200 teams from across the country and abroad, drawing 50,000 players, coaches, and family members to the Twin Cities for a single week. Outside of USA Cup week, the complex hosts a constant rotation of state, regional, and national soccer events through the spring, summer, and fall.
55 outdoor soccer fields across 600 acres between 105th and 109th Avenues. Mix of natural grass and synthetic turf. Fields range from full-size 11v11 down to 9v9 and 7v7 configurations for younger age groups. Most fields are lit for evening matches.
The synthetic-turf fields are the rain backup; the bulk of summer tournament play happens on natural grass. The fields are well-drained and engineered for Minnesota’s variable summer weather, though severe thunderstorms can delay games by 30 to 60 minutes.
The Schwan Super Rink sits on the south side of the campus and serves as the indoor backup for soccer events during shoulder seasons (March, April, October, November) when outdoor play is weather-dependent. Indoor fields convert from ice during off-hockey seasons.
The address is 1700 105th Avenue NE, Blaine MN 55449. The outdoor fields stretch across the property between 105th and 109th Avenues. The Indoor Sports Hall plus the Schwan Super Rink sit on the south side. Parking is allocated by tournament; check your event packet for assigned field cluster and parking lot.
The official National Sports Center field map shows the field numbering. With 55 fields spread across 250 acres, the map is essential for first-time visitors. The wrong parking lot can add 15 minutes of walking each direction.
