12 outdoor turf fields hosting USYS, ECNL Regional League, and EDP events. Two-day weekend format, 3 to 4 games depending on bracket.
Address, official field map, and turn-by-turn directions.
LakePoint Sports is a 1,300-acre multi-sport complex in Emerson, Georgia, 45 minutes north of downtown Atlanta. The soccer side runs USYS, ECNL Regional League, EDP, US Club Soccer, and independent club-tournament weekends through the spring and fall seasons. Twelve outdoor synthetic-turf fields, all lit, configurable for both 11v11 and 9v9. The northern half of the complex, separated from the baseball cluster by the central road.
What sets LakePoint apart from typical southeastern soccer venues is the turf reliability. Georgia spring afternoons routinely deliver 30-minute thunderstorms that wash out grass complexes for the rest of the day. LakePoint games keep playing.
Twelve full-size synthetic-turf fields, each lit for evening matches. The standard configuration is 11v11 on the main fields with portable goals swapped in for 9v9 brackets at younger ages. All fields are properly drained with a sand-based substrate underneath the turf. Sideline benches are aluminum with limited shade.
The fields are arranged in two rows of six, with a central walking path between the rows. Parking is at the north end of the complex, accessible via Stars Way. The walk from parking to the far field is 6 to 8 minutes. Restrooms and a concession building sit at the central junction between the two rows.
The soccer fields occupy the north side of the property, distinctly separate from the baseball diamonds to the south. Enter via Stars Way and follow signs for the multi-sport fields. The full venue map is at the official LakePoint Sports field map. The map is essential for first-time visitors because LakePoint sprawls across 1,300 acres and the wrong parking lot can add 10 minutes of walking each direction.
LakePoint soccer hosts:
Most weekend tournaments are 2-day events with a 3 to 4 game guarantee depending on bracket. Some larger events extend to 3 days with bracket finals on Sunday afternoon.
LakePoint’s identity is multi-sport. Beyond soccer, the complex hosts baseball, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, softball, football, and cheer events on separate clusters. The practical impact during overlap weekends:
When soccer overlaps with a major baseball tournament (Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day weekends are the classic overlaps), hotel inventory in Cartersville and Acworth gets tight 30 to 45 days earlier than the soccer event alone would justify. Book the moment your team’s tournament is confirmed.
When soccer overlaps with a major AAU basketball event in the Champions Center, the on-site concession lines get longer because two tournaments share the same food infrastructure.
Parking: Free. Multiple lots adjacent to each field cluster. North-end lots near the soccer fields fill on Saturday mornings during major tournaments.
Spectator admission: Most soccer events are free entry. Some premium ECNL or showcase tournaments charge $10 to $15 per spectator per day.
Concessions: Concession stand at the central soccer-field junction. Standard tournament fare ($5 to $10 per item). Lines build between rounds.
Restrooms: Permanent restroom buildings at the central junction. Portable units added during major event weekends.
Medical: AdventHealth on-site athletic training tent during major events. More serious injuries go to Cartersville Medical Center.
Pets: Service animals only on the field perimeters. The grass areas outside the fields allow leashed dogs.
Heat warning: The turf fields run hot in summer afternoons. Pop-up tents, sunscreen, and electrolyte drinks matter for May through September matches.
